Refund policy

At Randpark Pharmacy, we are committed to supplying quality healthcare products and providing excellent customer service. This Refund and Returns Policy explains

We have a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.

If your return is accepted, we’ll send you a return shipping label, as well as instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.

Refunds
We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method within 10 business days. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.

By placing an order on our website, you agree to this policy.

1. Medicines and Scheduled Products

For the protection of all patients, prescription medicines, Schedule medicines, pharmacy-only medicines and other medicinal products cannot be returned or exchanged once they have been dispensed and have left the pharmacy, except where:

  • the incorrect medicine or product was supplied;
  • the product is defective;
  • the product was damaged before delivery;
  • the product has expired;
  • the product was recalled by the manufacturer;
  • the product does not correspond with your order.

This restriction exists because medicines cannot be safely returned to stock once they have left the pharmacy's control.

Where an eligible medicine cannot be replaced, a refund will be processed.

2. Non-Medicinal Products

Non-medicinal products such as:

  • vitamins
  • supplements
  • cosmetics
  • skincare
  • personal care products
  • medical devices
  • baby products
  • healthcare accessories

may be returned within 30 days of delivery provided that:

  • they are unused;
  • unopened;
  • in their original packaging;
  • seals remain intact;
  • they are in a resalable condition; and
  • proof of purchase is provided.

Randpark Pharmacy reserves the right to inspect returned products before approving a refund or exchange.


3. Defective Products

If a product is defective, unsafe or fails to meet acceptable quality standards, you may return it in accordance with the Consumer Protection Act.

Depending on the circumstances, we may offer:

  • repair;
  • replacement;
  • exchange; or
  • refund.

4. Incorrect Orders

If you receive:

  • the wrong product;
  • the wrong strength;
  • the wrong quantity; or
  • an incorrect item,

please notify us within 48 hours of delivery.

We will arrange collection where necessary and replace the item or issue a refund.


5. Damaged Deliveries

Please inspect your order upon delivery.

If your parcel arrives visibly damaged:

  • notify the delivery driver where possible;
  • take photographs;
  • contact us within 48 hours.

We may request photographs before arranging a replacement or refund.


6. Refrigerated Products

Cold-chain medicines, vaccines, insulin and other temperature-sensitive products cannot be returned unless:

  • they were supplied incorrectly;
  • arrived damaged; or
  • were defective upon delivery.

7. Prescription Errors

If you believe a dispensing error has occurred, please contact the pharmacy immediately.

Do not use the medicine until you have spoken with one of our pharmacists.


8. How to Request a Return

To request a return, please provide:

  • your order number;
  • proof of purchase;
  • photographs where applicable;
  • reason for the return.

9. Refunds

Once your return has been inspected and approved, refunds will normally be processed using the original payment method.

Please allow 5–10 business days for funds to reflect, depending on your payment provider.

Shipping fees are generally non-refundable unless the return resulted from our error.


10. Collection Costs

Where the return results from:

  • our error;
  • a defective product;
  • damaged goods;
  • incorrect supply,

Randpark Pharmacy will arrange collection at no cost to the customer.

Where a customer changes their mind regarding an eligible non-medicinal product, return courier costs may be the customer's responsibility.


11. Products That Cannot Be Returned

For safety and hygiene reasons, we cannot accept returns of:

  • prescription medicines;
  • Schedule medicines;
  • compounded medicines;
  • medicines dispensed specifically for an individual patient;
  • opened vitamins or supplements;
  • opened skincare or cosmetic products;
  • opened baby formula;
  • intimate or personal hygiene products that have been opened;
  • refrigerated medicines unless defective or supplied incorrectly.

12. Consumer Rights

Nothing in this policy limits or excludes any rights you may have under applicable South African consumer protection legislation.
